Chambermaid trainee are charged with various combinations of cleaning duties to keep each hotel room clean. They are also responsible for keeping track of consumables that could be destroyed or used for proper billing. Hotel maids are also trained in the proper use of the prescribed cleaning procedures, solutions and equipment. They are also guided by how to follow certain hotel standards.
-Duties
Chambermaid trainee duties usually include a full cleaning of all designated rooms and other rooms for a limited period of time, provide towels, new bedding, toiletries, cleaning and writing materials, and replace glasses also sweep, wash and polish everything in places using hotel cleaning tools. Chambermaid ensure that there is no dust on the blinds, and rearranged the draperies to their normal position. All cleaning operations performed must comply with hotel procedures, cleanliness and safety standards. Must empty garbage cans, clean and replace ashtrays. They ensure that the service carts are well-equipped for all assigned rooms and hotel areas.

Everybody is eligible to work in hotels, however the program is highly beneficial for those studying a degree related to tourism and hospitality industry. -Work Day
You will be working 8 hours per day with a break for your meal. There are different shifts at the hotel so you may be working in the morning,evening or night shift. You might have a straight shift (work 8 hours in arow) or a split-shift (work 4 hours first and after a break work another 4 hours).
