Delaware Valley University was set up in 1896 as an agricultural school but has now become an academic establishment teaching both sciences and liberal arts. Between 2011 and 2015 Princeton Review positioned DelVal as the best college in the northeast. The institution also boasts its commitment to giving its students exposure to the world of work.You can choose to study 25 undergraduate majors in the life, physical and agricultural sciences, humanities and business, six master’s programs, a doctoral degree or a variety of adult education courses.Its undergraduate majors range from agribusiness, animal science, biology, chemistry, horticulture, landscape architecture to literary studies, media and communication and history, policy and society. The one thousand acres campus There are above 70 clubs, societies, sororities and fraternities, and 22 Division III athletic teams, which you can choose to join. Some examples of them are the Wildlife Society, the Rugby Club, Horticulture Society, Food Club, Dance Team, GLOW (Gay, Lesbians Or Whatever), Equestrian Teams, Christian Club Impact, football, basketball and softball, a 100-miles run club, horseshoes, dodge ball and others. You can also have small pets in some residence halls at DelVal.Some of Delaware Valley University’s remarkable alumni are biologist Kenneth Roux, business executive and entrepreneur Laura Owen and plant pathologist Jacob Joseph Taubenhaus.
