Founded in 1918, Kuban State Technological University was one of the first universities in Russia. The campus is based in the large city of Krasnodar, which is the largest city and capital of Krasnodar Krai, in Southern Russia.Krasnodar is a major industrial centre in Southern Russia, being a key player in the production of construction materials, sewing and knitting, furniture, tobacco products, food and agricultural products. The focus of study at Kuban State Technological University is to prepare students for a career within these areas.Kuban State Technological University offers 138 programmes in bachelor, master's and research degree across a variety of faculties, including: geography, geology, tourism and service, oil, gas and power engineering, computer systems and information security, construction and transport infrastructure, and economics, management and business.Research is a large part of life at Kuban State Technological University, and, every year, scientists of the university carry out more than 200 research projects.On campus, students will find modern research-training centres, high-tech equipment for collective use, student design offices, specialised laboratories, hostels, and a sports centre. There’s also a large library with over a million volumes of work.The Student Union is active in student life and events at Kuban State Technological University. Students can take part in a variety of social activities, contests and festivals throughout the academic year.Kuban State Technological University has established relationships with universities around the world, carrying out various exchange activities such as academic exchanges, scientific research cooperation and the opportunity for students to study abroad. The university is home to around 500 international students annually.
