Founded in 1865 by the businessman and railroad pioneer Asa Packer, Lehigh University is a private research university located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.With almost 7,000 students and offering more than 2,300 degree programs, Lehigh describes itself as an internationally recognized research university located in a city with a vibrant, small-town feel.The university is made up of five distinct colleges: the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Business, the College of Education, the College of Health and the P.C. The university works with the UN through its United Nations Partnership, offering 56 UN-related programs each year.Students can choose from an additional 250 study-abroad programs in 80 countries worldwide.
