Program Info
Quito is a very large city and some of the few public hospital are located in strategic areas where all the people from all around Quito can reach them in case of any assistance or emergencies, this Hospital is located in the north side of Quito about 1 hour by bus away from the accommodation and the Spanish school area, you will be mainly helping in basic tasks and watching since the local laws in Ecuador are very strict about local and foreign volunteers, even if you have experience your Spanish skills can represent a big barrier and mistakes. You will be able to switch areas every other week if you have a long period to volunteer at this hospital.

Work Tasks
The areas where the volunteer are accepted are:

• Internal Medicine (man / woman 2 divided areas)
• Gynecology
• Trauma
• General Medicine
• External Consult Department.
• Surgery Consult Department
