Established in 1930, Siberian State Industrial University was founded to train workers for the construction of the Kuznetsk Metallurgical Combine (Novokuznetsk Iron and Steel Plant).Located in the central district of Novokuznetsk, Russian Federation, it received university status in 1998.Novokuznetsk is one of the largest metallurgical and coal production centres in Russia, making it the perfect base for students studying industrial degrees.Students can study a variety of subjects at undergraduate, graduate and PhD level within the following faculties: metallurgy and materials science, economics and management, architecture and civil engineering, mining and geosystems, mechanical engineering and transport, information technologies and automated systems, teacher education and physical culture, health and sports.Within these faculties, students can specialise further and study subjects like metal forming and metal science, geotechnology, transport and logistics, applied mathematics and computer science, pedagogical education and physical education.Students have the opportunity to live in university accommodation, which has been newly renovated and furnished. Hostels have all the facilities students need including kitchens, bathrooms, laundry facilities and gymnasiums.The Siberian State Industrial University has established relationships with universities around the world, carrying out various exchange activities such as academic exchanges, scientific research cooperation and the opportunity for students to study abroad.
