Tashkent State University of Economics was established in 1931 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan’s capital city.The university has five main faculties: economics, accounting and audit, corporate management, international tourism, and digital economy. Across these faculties, students are offered both bachelor and master’s choices. There are 16 bachelors programmes in total, including: banking, economics and sociology of labour, marketing, statistics, and accounting and audit. Some 22 masters programmes are offered at the university, with a range of specialisations such as logistics, tourism, and foreign economic activity.Tashkent is Uzbekistan’s largest city, and has lots of offerings for students in their down-time.There are several other universities in the city, making for a lively and diverse student population. Students can go and watch a game of football or ice hockey while at university, with football being Tashkent’s most popular sport among locals.
