Established by a group of academics and intellectuals in 1986, the Fundación Universidad de Palermo (University of Palermo Foundation) which later became the University of Palermo (abbreviated as UP).Located in the beautiful suburban neighbourhoods of Argentina’s capital, Buenos Aires, it has several buildings spread throughout the city and seven departments: the school of engineering, design and communications, law, social sciences, psychology, business and architecture. It also has an MBA Graduate School of Business. Its substantial research work and expansive degree programmes are renowned nationally and globally.Known as one of the best private universities in Argentina, UP is also one of the most diverse higher education institutions in the region, with over 14,000 students from 59 different countries.
