Founded in 1944, Volgograd State Agricultural University is an agricultural educational institution in Russia.The university is based in Volgograd the largest city and the administrative centre of Volgograd Oblast.Students can study both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, within the following faculties: agriculture technology, biotechnology and veterinary medicine, engineering and technology, processing technologies and commodity, service and tourism, ecology and melioration, electric power and energy and economics.The main aim of the university is to successfully train a range of highly qualified specialists for the agro-industrial complexities of the Lower Volga region and other areas of the Russian Federation.Students are able to access on-campus accommodation across four different student hostels. The university hostels offer both shared and private rooms and include a bed, table, and cabinet. In the dorm or nearby there are also cafeterias and snack bars.There’s also a four-storeyed building, which houses a scientific library, multimedia lecture halls and conference hall.The university has established relationships with universities around the world, carrying out various exchange activities such as academic exchanges, scientific research cooperation and the opportunity for students to study abroad.Partner universities include the University of Applied Sciences (Germany), Belgrade State University (Serbia) and Lugansk National Agrarian University (Ukraine).
