As a Assistant General Manager, it will be your job to aid the general manager in coordinating, directing and planning everyday business operations. You’ll help create weekly schedules, ensure shifts go smoothly, manage daily operations and help with human resources as necessary. The job also entails some administrative duties, training new employees and assisting on the front and back lines when necessary. Additionally, you’ll also help lead team meetings and group training sessions.

-Duties

Monitor supplies and inventory to make sure they’re used properly and efficiently and that we adhere to the store budget. Assign duties to crew members and create work schedules. Interview and hire new employees. Direct administrative activities. Look over financial statements, sales reports and other performance data to gauge productivity and achieve daily, weekly and monthly sales goals. Engage in educational opportunities in order to remain up-to-date on the latest industry techniques, tools and trends. Engage in opportunities that can add to overall workplace accomplishments

-Requirements

Everybody is eligible in working in hotels, but the program is highly beneficial for those studying a degree related to tourism and hospitality. Previous work experience in the same field is considered an advantage.

-Curriculum Activities

You can spend you spare time as you like. Madrid nights are the stuff of legend, and the perfect complement to the more sedate charms of fine arts and fine dining. The city may have more bars than any other city on earth – a collection of storied cocktail bars and nightclubs that combine a hint of glamour with non-stop marcha. Madrid is full of amazing places worth visiting, for example: Paseo del Arte, Royal Palace, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Puerta de Alcala, Cibeles Fountain, Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, Las Ventas Bullring, El Retiro Park, The Rastro, Temple of Debod and National Archaeological Museum.

-Work Day

You will be working 8 hours per day with a break for your meal. There are different shifts at the hotel so you may be working in the morning, evening or night shift. You might have a straight shift (work 8 hours in a row) or a split-shift (work 4 hours first and after a break work another 4 hours).
